Online therapy when you're ready for change... or not
I'll meet you where you are.
Lillian J. Goodkind, LCSW
Therapy is all about change. Most folks come to therapy because they're either ready for a change or they're not. Clients who are ready for change might be looking to feel better, to perform better at school/work, or to improve their relationship(s). Clients who are not ready for change might be struggling to cope with an unexpected or unwelcome development like job loss, divorce, chronic illness, or the death of a loved one. Regardless of the circumstances that brought you here, you're in the right place.

"Lillian is kind and patient. She seems to really want to get at the problem that’s bothering me without pushing too hard. I’ve had therapists in the past who seemed to just say what they thought I wanted to hear, but Lillian is adept at making suggestions and providing feedback that is beneficial even if it’s not a direct support of my actions or opinions."

"Lillian has made a significant impact on me and my life, and working with her has been one of the best decisions I’ve made. She is compassionate and understood me so well. She encouraged me to try to think about things from a different perspective and to be kind to myself. There are not enough words to fully explain what working with Lillian did for me, but I completely flourished from working with her."

FAQ
Do you take insurance?
Not at this time. Instead, I offer a sliding scale based on each individual's personal financial experience. All new clients receive a Good Faith Estimate before our first session; this provides detailed information about fees, cancellation policies, and more. If you have any questions about this, don't hesitate to message me below.
What is your therapeutic style?
My practice is characterized by mutual trust, authenticity, and acceptance. I take a relational approach, which is empathic and attentive. I promote learning through discovery by encouraging clients to reframe and self-reflect. I also partner with clients to engage in cooperative learning, interactive processing, and problem-solving.
What kind(s) of therapy do you provide?
My practice is built upon the foundations of psychodynamic, client-centered, cognitive-behavioral, and systems theories. I believe that relationships and experiences shape the lens through which we view the world. In turn, our resulting thoughts, feelings, and behaviors shape our interactions - both personally and professionally.
What guides your practice?
Together, we'll partner to honor your authentic self and work toward living your best life. I strive to identify and eliminate barriers to growth. Every client brings a unique skillset into therapy; my aim is to capitalize on existing strengths, introduce new techniques/approaches, cultivate intuition, and bolster confidence.
